After an uneventful passage downriver from Shanghai (although I did hear five short blasts of the sea horn at 0014) we awoke this morning steaming generally south at 20 knots. High points along the shore are visible to starboard. There are at least 200 fishing vessels within view. They appear to be about the same size as the larger ones out of New Bedford, but with much different lines. The air temperature is in the mid-50's.
I have just come in from a 2.5 mile walk on deck. After three busy days of touring in Shanghai and another one coming up tomorrow in Xiamen (birthplace of Ted & Kim's TRUE COMPANION), doing nothing specific is the plan for today.
