We disembarked VOYAGER on April 09 in Laem Chabang, the Thai seaport near Bangkok. The entire day was consumed in getting through this process, traveling to Bangkok's airport, waiting several hours for the flight to Siem Reap, flying there, then getting to the hotel. In other words it was a long, boring transition day.
No so the following day when we were on our way at 0800 to visit several temples in the Angkor Archeological Park, culmination with a visit to the most famous - Angkor Wat. The temples and the civilization they represented were amazing. I will not try to describe what we saw or offer many comments, instead relying on my pictures to convey the magnificence of what we saw.
