The trip was uneventful. We were glad that we had arranged a car and driver to pick us up because we would never have fit our numerous bags plus ourselves into one of the small Thai taxis.
We rendezvoused with Guild Tucker mid-afternoon and spent the rest of the day chatting, much of it at a riverside table at our hotel (Mandarin Oriental) watching the boat traffic and eating wonderful Thai foods.
