Hue (April 03) - Minh Mang Emperor's Tomb

Having survived the drive, our first stop was the tomb on one of Vietnam's emperors.

Although much less well known internationally than their Chinese counterparts, Vietnamese emperors were an import part of the history of this country.

Through a combination of neglect any many wars, the exterior is deceiving.

Inside the wall things were in better repair.

The grounds suggested a place of beauty and tranquility during the time of the emperors.

In a number of places there were three doorways. The center doorway was for the use of only one person - the emperor.

As we headed back to the bus, children tried to sell us a "hand" of bananas.
