Hue (April 03) - past the pagoda onto the Perfume River

After Minh Mang's Tomb, our next stop was a pagoda on the shore of the Perfume River.

We were assured the patting the head of the turtle would bring good luck.

We then boarded a dragon boat for our cruise on the river.

A one word description of the cruise would be "boring." the river was wide, straight, had an uninteresting shoreline and carried little boat traffic.

Going under a bridge, I snuck this shot of a Vietnamese soldier on guard there watch us pass.

The best part of the boat ride was it's destination - lunch.
